السلام عليكم


Ahmad al-Hassan wants people to have dreams in order to know, that he is true claimant of the Imamat but Imams from Ahl al-Bayt (as) never asked people to have dream in order to know the true Imam. Nor did they mention 'dreams' as kind of a 'tool' to know the true claimant of the Imamat. So, dont be fooled. As for the dreams they are of three aspects:


علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه، عن ابن أبي عمير، عن سعد بن أبي خلف، عن أبي عبد الله (عليه السلام) قال: الرؤيا على ثلاثة وجوه: بشارة من الله للمؤمن وتحذير من الشيطان وأضغاث أحلام


Ali ibn Ibrahim from his father from Ibn Abu Umeyr from Sa’d Bin Abu Khalaf, who has narrated the following: Abu Abdullah (as) has said, that the dreams are of three aspects - Good news from Allah for the believer, and a caution against the Satan, and confused dreams.(1)



I say: So, the dreams are not for knowing the successor of the Messenger of Allah (saww), rather the successors of the Prophet (saww) or the successors of the preceding Imam (as) is known through Naṣṣ [designation]. It has been mentioned [...] from Abu Basir who has said the following: "I asked Abu al-Hassan (as), ‘May Allah keep my soul in service for your cause, by what proofs can one know the Imam (as)?’ He said, ‘Through several qualities. The first thing is that his father must have spoken about him in this matter so that it could be considered a proof. [...](2)
