In his book ''The thirteenth disciple'' Ahmad al-Hassan uses a Shia hadith from 'Kitāb al-G̲h̲ayba' of an-Numani, in order to prove, that the 'crucified look-alike' of Isa (as) was an Imam from Ahl al-Bayt [i.e. Ahmad al-Hassan himself, according to his fantasies], and he makes the following claims:

وروي أ ن الشبيه المصلوب من ذرية رسول الله

[Ahmad al-Hassan says]: And it was narrated, that the crucified look-alike is from the lineage of the Messenger of Allah (saw).

[Ahmad al-Hassan says]: The Messenger of Allah Muhammad (saw) said in his supplication for Ali bin Abi Talib (as),“O Allah! Grant him the patience of Moses, and make among his descendants the look-alike of Jesus (as). O Allah! Indeed, You are my vicegerent upon him and upon his progeny and his kind and purified lineage from whom You have removed uncleanliness and impurity.” - (Kitāb al-G̲h̲ayba by an-Numani, page 144,)

Deception of Ahmad al-Hassan with Shia hadith!

I say: Firstly, the statement of Ahmad al-Hassan "And it was narrated that the crucified look-alike is from the lineage of the Messenger of Allah (saw)" is a great lie & deception, the hadith used by Ahmad al-Hassan is mentioned in the Chapter 10: What have been narrated about the occultation of the expected 12th Imam [...]. Seconly, the content of the hadith is about the 12th Imam (as) and it mentions his (as) occultation. Thirdly, the explanation of this hadith is like this: ''Prophet (saw) asked Allah (azwj) to make the 12th Imam (as) beautiful [magnificent] as Isa (as)." We know this from another hadith, from the same book, where the content of the 'Tablet of Fatimah' has been mentioned. Lastly, the author, an-Numani (ra) makes comment on this hadith, and explains, that the hadith is about 12th Imam (as) and his occultation.

Let's examine:

  1. Chapter of the hadith, which was mentioned by Ahmad al-Hassan.
  2. Content & Commentary of the hadith, which was mentioned by Ahmad al-Hassan.
  3. Who is the 'look-alike' of Isa (as) from Ahl al-Bayt (as)? - Refering to Ahl al-Bayt (as).

Chapter of the hadith, which was mentioned by Ahmad al-Hassan:

باب 10 ما روي في غيبة الإمام المنتظر الثاني عشر وذكر مولانا أمير المؤمنين والأئمة صلوات الله عليهم أجمعين بعده وإنذارهم بها

Chapter 10: What have been narrated about the occultation of the expected 12th Imam, what was mentioned by our Master, Amīr al-Mu'minīn [Ali], and Imams (as) after him, and about their foretell of it.

Content & Commentary of the hadith, which was mentioned by Ahmad al-Hassan:

وفي هذا الحديث عجائب وشواهد على حقية ما تعتقده الإمامية وتدين به، والحمد لله، فمن ذلك قول أمير المؤمنين صلوات الله عليه: " حتى إذا غاب المتغيب من ولدي عن عيون الناس " أليس هذا موجبا لهذه الغيبة، وشاهدا على صحة قول من يعترف بهذا، ويدين بإمامة صاحبها؟

an-Numani says: This hadith, it contains amazing words, and it is a witness to the truthfulness of things, that al-Imamiyyah is convinced of, and through what they practice the Religion, praise be to Allah. Of these, the words of the Amīr al-Mu'minīn (as): "While the occulted one from my descendants will not be occulted from the eyes of the people."[1] Do these words not support the occultation? - and [do these words] not testify in the favor of the beliefs of those, who accept him [i.e. 12th Imam], and practice the Religion through the guidence of the owner of this occultation [i.e. 12th Imam]?

Ahmad al-Hassan fails due to ignorance! - Shocking!

The following arguments, has been used by Ahmad al-Hassan in his book: ''The thirteenth disciple'', in order to refute Sheikh Tusi's (ra) interpretation.

[Ahmad al-Hassan says]: ''Moreover, who are those who believe that Imam al-Mahdi, Muhammad bin al-Hassan, is dead in the "Age of Appearance" as Sheikh al-Tousi stated, "And most of the people believe that his bones have deteriorated"?!! For the Shia believe that he is alive and the Sunnis do not believe that he is present in the first place so how can they believe in his death?!!!''

Ahmad al-Hassan fails due to ignorance! - Shocking!

Ahmad al-Hassan fails due to ignorance! - Shocking!

Claims made by Ahmad al-Hassan:

  1. Shia believe that he [i.e. 12th Imam (as)] is alive.
  2. Sunnis do not believe, that he [i.e. 12th Imam (as)] is present.

Questions asked by Ahmad al-Hassan:

  1. So, how can they [i.e. Sunnis & Shiites] believe in his death?
  2. Who are those who believe that Imam al-Mahdi, Muhammad bin al-Hassan, is dead in the "Age of Appearance"?

I say: In defence of Sheikh Tusi (ra) statement, ''And most of the people believe that his bones have deteriorated." The statement of Sheikh Tusi (ra) is about Shiites, who made such claims due to prolongation of the occultation, because of their ignorance. They were refuted later on.

In the book by Abdulaziz Abdulhussein Sachedina: ''Islamic Messianism: The Idea of Mahdi in Twelver Shi'ism, page 84, we can read the following: ''The occultation was already considered as tawil when Ibn Babuya composed his Kamal al-Din. In one place he relates his meeting with a man in Baghdad who complained to him that the ghayba had become prolonged and unbearable confusion had caused many Shi'ites to turn away from the Imamate of the Twelfth Imam because of the long occultation."

Also, when we refer to the Kitāb al-G̲h̲ayba of Sheikh al-Tusi, we can read the following, which supports our statement:

قال: وروى أحمد بن الحارث، رفعه إلى أبي عبد الله عليه السلام أنه قال: لو قد يقوم القائم لقال الناس: أنى يكون هذا وبليت عظامه

[Fii Nusrat al-Waqifa]: He said: Ahmad b. al-Harith narrated, going up to Abu `Abdillah (as) that he said: "When the Qa’im rises, the people will say: Is this the one, while his bones had decayed?"[1]

[Sheikh al-Tusi says]: "And in this, a community will say, "his bones had decayed" because they will doubt that he had remained for this long period. And a community has claimed that the Patron of the Age has died, and Allah has concealed him – so this is a refutation of them."

I say: As for the statement of Ahmad al-Hassan: "Sunnis do not believe, that he [i.e. 12th Imam (as)] is present." - There are Sunnis who believe, that he [i.e. 12th Imam (as)] was present and that he (as) died. Let's see what Sunni Imam Shāh Abd al-Azīz Dehlavi says, in his book: ''al-Toḥfa al-ʼIthnā ʿAshariyya.''

In the introduction of his book, Imam Dehlavi says the following:

و این رساله را تیمّناً و تبرّکاً بهٔ عدد ائمه اثنا عشر علیهم السلام بر دوازده باب مرتب کرده شد

"And [the contents of] this treatise was sorted into twelve chapters seeking the blessings of the number of the twelve Imams, may Allah's peace be upon them."

Also, in the second chapter, he says:

تا آنکه نوبت حضرت امام محمد بن الحسن المهدی رسید و ایشان متولد شدند و در حالت طفولیت و صغر سن وفات کردند

"Till the turn [of the Imamate] reached Imam Mohammad bin al-Hassan, who was born and then passed away in his childhood."

Conclusions:

  1. Ahmad al-Hassan is ignorant of the fact, that many Shiites turned away from the Imamat of the 12th Imam (as) due to prolongation of the occultation, and claimed that the Patron of the Age (as) was dead, and that al-Tusi (ra) talks about them.
  2. Claims made by Ahmad al-Hassan are due to his ignorance.
  3. Questions asked by Ahmad al-Hassan are also due to his ignorance.
  4. There are Sunnis who believe, that he [i.e. 12th Imam (as)] was present and that he (as) died.

As you may know already, Ahmad al-Hassan claims, that he is '13th Imam' & proof of Allah from Ahl al-Bayt (as), let's refer his claims to Allah (swt) i.e. al-hadith al-Qudsi, and see what Allah (swt) says: 12th Imam (as) wrote in his Tawqee [i.e. letter]:[1]

[...] ''Say as Allah (Exalted be He) says: ''Peace to you, Oh Alee Yasin [i.e. Family of Muhammad]!'' [...]

''I take you as witness, Oh my master, that I bear witness, there is no god but Allah, One, without associates, and that Muammad is His servant and messenger. There is no one more beloved by Allah than him and his household. I take you as witness, O my master, that I bear witness, that Amīr al-Mu'minīn Ali, is His Hujjaty [i.e. proof of Allah], al-Hassan is His Hujjaty [i.e. proof of Allah], al-Hussain is His Hujjaty [i.e. proof of Allah], `Ali the son of al-Hussain is His Hujjaty [i.e. proof of Allah], Muammad the son of `Ali is His Hujjaty [i.e. proof of Allah], Ja`far the son of Muammad is His Hujjaty [i.e. proof of Allah], Musa the son of Ja`far is His Hujjaty [i.e. proof of Allah], `Ali the son of Musa is His Hujjaty [i.e. proof of Allah], Muammad the son of `Ali is His Hujjaty [i.e. proof of Allah], `Ali the son of Muammad is His Hujjaty [i.e. proof of Allah], and al-Hassan the son of `Ali is His Hujjaty [i.e. proof of Allah]. I also bear witness that you [i.e. 12th Imam] is verily the Hujjaty [i.e. proof] of Allah. You all are the first and the last. And [I bear witness] that your [promised] Return is undoubtedly true.'' [...]

Oh, My master! Died, who denied you [i.e. Ahl al-Bayt], and has found happiness one who obeyed you [i.e. Ahl al-Bayt]! So, bear witness to everything, that I have witnessed in front of you! I am, indeed, in friendship with you [i.e. Ahl al-Bayt] [...]

My soul is thus believing in Allah; One and Only Lord and having no associate, and also in His Messenger, in the Amīr al-Mu'minīn, and in you all [i.e. Imams], O my master, from the beginning to the end. [...]

I say: As we can see, Allah (swt) wants us to believe and testify only for 12 Imam (as). As he himself does, because, there are only 12 divinely appointed Mahdis / Imams. So, the claims of Ahmad al-Hassan, that he is divinely appointed Mahdi / Imam are false and should be rejected.

Deception of Ahmad al-Hassan with Bible!

In the following article, we will expose the deceptions of Ahmad al-Hassan with the verses of the Bible.

Questions:

  1. Who is the 'Lamb of God' in the Bible?
  2. Who are the 'Twenty-four elders' in the Bible?
  3. Who sits on the 'Throne' in the Bible?

Claims made by Ahmad al-Hassan:[1]

  1. He [i.e. Ahmad al-Hassan] himself is the 'Lamb of God' in the Bible.
  2. 'Twenty-four elders' are '12 Imams plus 12 Mahdis' in the Bible.
  3. The one, who sits on the 'Throne' is Prophet Muhammad (saw).

So, who is 'Lamb of God' in the Bible?

I say: We can read the following in the the Gospel of John, which refutes the claims made by Ahmad al-Hassan: Christ is the Word of God—He created all things and was made flesh—John baptizes Jesus and testifies that He is the Lamb of God—John, Andrew, Simon, Philip, and Nathanael believe in Christ and follow Him.

[John 1:29]: The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

[John 1:36]: and he looked at Jesus as he walked by and said, Behold, the Lamb of God!

I say: Even the verses, which has been used by Ahmad al-Hassan in his book, prove, that the 'Lamb of God' is Jesus.[2]

[1] Refer to the English edition of the book: al-Hawwari al-Thalith Ashar by Ahmad al-Hassan, page 5-6, ∗ In page 5, Ahmad al-Hassan says: ''Therefore, the slaughtered lamb must be a symbol of one of the twenty-four elders.'' ∗ In page 6, Ahmad al-Hassan says: ''As for their interpretation of the slaughtered lamb in the vision to be Jesus, it is negated by the fact that according to them the one sitting on the throne is God, He is far above that.'' ∗ And Ahmad al-Hassan states also on page 6: ''While to us the one sitting on the throne is Muhammad, and around him are twenty-four elders also on thrones, and they are the vicegerents of God on His earth, the Imams and the Mahdis mentioned by the Messenger of God in his sacred will.''

[2] Refer to the English edition of the book: al-Thalith Ashar by Ahmad al-Hassan, page 4, Ahmad al-Hassan quotes [Revelation 5:8-9]: And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. [...] and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.

Questions:

  1. Who are the 'Twenty-four elders' in the Bible?
  2. Who sits on the 'Throne' in the Bible?

I say: As, we have showed already, Ahmad al-Hassan claims, that 'Twenty-four elders' are 12 Imams plus 12 Mahdis. The truth is, that 'Twenty-four elders' in the Bible are saints, who worship the one, who sits on the Throne, and they also worship the Lamb of God [i.e. Jesus] as we showed in the footnote # 2.

Let's see, what Ahmad al-Hassan has done, he simply 'cut out' the parts of the Bible, so that he can make his silly interpretations, the reader should not be surprised, Ahmad al-Hassan has done the same things with Shia hadith also.

Below, you can see, how Ahmad al-Hassan has quoted Book of Revelation, Chapter 4, from verse 2 to 5, on page 3, of his book: ''The thirteenth disciple'' but has 'cut out' the important parts, i.e. verse 8 to 11:

[Revelation 4:8-11]: Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come. Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.

Conclusions:

  2. Lamb of God in the Bible is not one of the 'Twenty-four' elders.
  3. Lamb of God in the Bible is Jesus, and not Ahmad al-Hassan.
  4. The one sitting on the throne is not Muhammad (saw), rather it is God.
  5. Ahmad al-Hassan is a charlatan, who has 'cut out' the parts of the Bible to fool people.

Divine Authority & Ahmad al-Hassan

Ahmad al-Hassan claims, that he has divine authority over the people, but if we refer to the Ahl al-Bayt (as), we will find out, that there are only 12 Imams (as) with the divine authority, after the Prophet (saw).

Sayyed al-Khū’ī says: Muhammad ibn Ya'qoub [Al-Kulayni] has narrated through two Saheeh [authentic] chains and through another chain from Aban ibn Abi Ayyash from Sulaym ibn Qays al-Hilali, who said: I heard Abd Allah ibn Ja'far Al-Tayyar say:

"Once al-Hassan (as), al-Hussain (as), Abd Allah ibn Abbas, Umar ibn Umm Salamah and Usama ibn Zayd and I were in the court of Mu'awiyah. A conversation started between Mu'awiyah, and I said to Mu'awiyah: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) say: 'I have more authority over the believers souls than they themselves do. Then my brother Ali ibn Abu Talib (as), will have more authority over the believers souls than they themselves will have. When Ali (as), will become a martyr, al-Hassan ibn Ali (as) will have more authority over the believers souls than they themselves will have. Thereafter my son al-Hussain (as), after him [i.e. al-Hassan (a.s)] will have more authority over the believers souls than they themselves will have. When he will become a martyr, his son Ali ibn al-Hussain (as) after him [i.e. al-Hussain (as)] will have more authority over the believers souls than they themselves will have. O Ali (as), you will see him [i.e. Ali ibn al-Hussain (as)]. Thereafter his son Muhammad ibn Ali (as) will have more authority over the believers souls than they themselves will have. O al-Hussain (as), you will see him. Then the Twelve will complete the number of A'immah [i.e. leaders with the divine authority]. Nine will be of the descendents of al-Hussain (as)."

Sulaym ibn Qays has said: "I heard this ḥadīth from Salman, Abu Dharr and al-Miqdad, who said, that they heard such aḥadīth from the Messenger of Allah (saw)."

Sayyed al-Khū’ī says: And al-Nu'mani has narrated it in the book al-Ghaybah from Muhammad ibn Ya'qoub likewise. And al-Saduq has narrated it in al-Khisal in the chapter of twelve things, ḥadīth 41, through two Saheeh [chains] from Aban ibn Abi Ayyash from Sulaym ibn Qays al-Hilali likewise.
